Deutsche Telekom Accepting iPhone 5 Pre-Orders

If you're sure that you want to get your hands on Apple's next-generation smartphone -- even without knowing its features, availability, price, or even its name -- you can pre-order one starting today from Deutsche Telekom. The company, which is the parent of T-Mobile worldwide, is beginning the pre-order process "in anticipation of supply bottlenecks" a spokesperson tells Bloomberg.

Bloomberg's report says that the carrier will hand out coupons to folks who want to reserve an iPhone 5, but does not offer any details about the upcoming phone. Deutsche Telekom previously was the exclusive German carrier of the iPhone, but rivals Vodafone and O2 began offering the device last year. Bloomberg's report doesn't say whether T-Mobile branches in the U.S., which have not carried past versions of the iPhone, will be offering the next version of Apple's smartphone.
